Anyone know if there is a problem with the MOT and Street Extreme?

Read something about needing to be EC marked, which if i remember from their website it isn't although it is road legal.

Anyone got any experience of this?

Bikes due in for MOT at Avuss on Friday, desperate to get out on it, the cars killing me.

Cheers

i'll be interested to hear the outcome of this one, as mine has no E mark either, but it won't require an MOT until 2010, let us know how it goes...

Has it not got a removable baffle?

If this is bothering you:pale: nip round to Avuss (amiable folk I've found ((but I ain't bought anything off them yet ;))) and ask them. Fail or pass?

A dealer failing a bike for an exhaust would lose my business .:smt071

I'd be interested on peoples views also, but, kept standard can and can easily slip back on if its a problem.......plus, won't be due until October 2010.......so don't need to worry yet.

There is no need for any marks to pass an MOT.

However, it must not be marked not for road use or similar.

There is no noise test. Simply a subjective assessment by the tester

Cool, it has the baffle in and no "Not for road use" markings......so should be hunky dorry.

My SV went through an MOT ok with Renegade cans on.. The "not for road use" engraving seem'd to vanish one day when i was polishing the bike ;)
They were Mega loud, so i bought 2 Very cheap baffles to bung in them and never had any problems.

Yeah, was just something I read in a magazine, I reckon it's a bum steer.

The can is BS Standard and as said, noise test is not part of MOT.

It is road legal in the UK.

I just want back out on it.

Thanks for all the feedback peeps.

On my previous bike - ZX-6R -I had a Wolf Racing Carbon Can, which had a silk screen logo on it 'Not for Road use' that disappeared as I tried to 'renew' it to it's original glory by polishing it with nail varnish remover\\:D/

Nail varnish remover, got anything you want to share with us? ;)

Well, absolutely no issue with it at all. Got it back from Avuss today, nice people.

Had a good look at the RC8 when I was in, very nice, smaller than I expected compared to the mag pics.

I am up for a test ride on a superduke though, that bike looks like the dugs danglees. By all accounts it rides superb.

Still need to get the rear pad pin cover "unseized" Avuss were going to do it but had a wee mix up. No biggy.

Hope to see you peeps out and about soon, all we need now is some sunshine and a few degrees warmer, it was fookin freezin today down the coast.

Cheers
