Nice, Will you get it on time to come on the Easter Egg run?
Not too many about in the copper either. Now you just need a copper lid, a copper screen, a copper car......
....Just kidding Grant ;)

+1 for that - you wont regret it.
Egg Run is Easter Sunday - Unless you do the Fife one in which case it's 6th April. Might be at that one too, we'll see:rolleyes:

Is that the kind of god awful sh*t-mobile that passes for a taxi in Aberdeen? Stone the crows!
Nice bike though...

Picked my SV up today after the snow had stopped me from getting it for the last week. On closer inspection of the bike i found quite a few differences to the standard one.
Carbon Fibre look indicators
Carbon Fibre handle bar ends
Carbon Fibre look tank protector
Rear tyre hugger
Lower Fairing
the things that stick out to im assume protect it from drops.
might see some of this in the pictures so im assuming not all this is standard stuff? also for the year it is should the rear number plate mount be different?

What you all think of her?
Dez
nice bike,
None of those things u mentioned are standard. The snow shovel rear end has gone ! good thing.
You have R&G;s crash bungs by the looks of things. Shock is standard still , i cn see that in the last pic.
Very nice thou! I would have painted out the number plates in your pics tho mate¬ as u never now who is on these sites
to note also thats a belly pan, not a lower fairing.

They're not R&Gs i think they are DHM crash bungs
looks a nice clean bike shame about the colour though ;-)

I'm glad you all like her just trying to find time and company to go a bit further afield. Though i may take an early venture on Sunday morning. Next time im close to her ill get the make of the bungs. Also think i need to adjust the clutch maybe as it seems quite a close bite point to the handle bar.

Those bungs are defo DHM ("Double Hard Mushrooms") distributed by Motrax. Not too sure of their performance in a spill, but we're all hoping you never need them anyway.
All appears to be in order to me.
If you do adjust the clutch remember that it's best done at BOTH ends, which means you'll get a chance to scrape out all the crud that builds up behind the front sprocket cover at the same time.
BlueFlame will be along shortly to let you know where to get all those copper coloured extras such as armchairs, televisions, lawnmowers etc etc........:laughat:

Nice bike mate apart from the style and colour everybody knows the curvy in black was the best model but they are rare and difficult to come by ;)
Hope you enjoy it mate and hope you can manage down to one of our rideouts

Someone from here is supposed to be organising a rideout for us up that way later in the year. I've heard that the route is good, but as yet uncharted......;)
Garry

I already said they were DHMs :smt064 ;). As for their performance if they're anything like the TopBlock bungs they made they'll be a load of poo

As it stands this is how it will stay for a month or two then i shall look into a new can for it. Any advice for reasonably priced but worthwhile ones would be greatly appreciated. Would love to go on a ride out up here somewhere sometime if it happens

i have a fuel stainless steal Oval one and its a great can!
loud! and growly!
only problem is it seems to have an allergic reaction to the baffle, it just throws up and spits it out if its in.

+1 for "Fuel" Stainless Oval - Brilliant Quality & very competitive price.....
See HERE (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=77155) for more info.
...........mine too prefers it (silencing) baffle to be out. I'll try to arrange for you to see & hear it if Quedos and I are up your way again some time;).
-Ralph- has recently fitted the same can to his bike.

i think it was ralph i mentioned this too at the egg run (if im thinking of the right person)
when he started it, i am sure its louder than mine, im wondering if being restricted would have any effect on the volume, as herd it mentioned somewhere else.
:S but yeah they are impressive exhausts!
think i posted a video showing the difference in your other thread but here it is again!

I preferred the FreeFlow Systems one I got from ebay.
£120 shipped, sounds as good with the baffle in (so legal on the road) as it does with it tucked under the pillion seat)

Try the manufacturer direct..... FUEL (http://www.fuelexhausts.com/news_details.cfm?ID=22)
They even do a gold fade titanium (http://www.fuelexhausts.com/specs_detail.cfm?iSpecIDPK=10)which might look nice on the copper - it's more expensive mind you....
For the very small difference in price, your better off going for the standard stainless over the budget stainless IMHO.

It was my bike you were listening to ScotRawk
The budget stainless has a rivet holding the baffle which obviously needs to be drilled out and replaced with a bolt before fitting to the bike.
