Hi Terry,

Welcome to Org.:smt039

I presume you have a curvy, or early Sv.

Relay is under the riders seat, next to the fuse box. The seat screws are accessed by undoing the bolts of the black side panels either side and swinging them out. You should then see an Allen bolt each side that holds the seat. Once taken out, lift seat from the front. Be careful replacing the seat bolts as they can crossthread quite easily.

Enjoy getting pulled for that mate. I know 2 people that had them fitted and they got pulled/fined incessantly. The police really don't like them from what i've seen.

Shame as i would quite like to fit one to my bike. :(

I just helped Girth fit one of these to his thousand, no need to touch the flasher unit, we just replaced the brake light, wired in the indicators and it all worked lovely. Girth did leave the stock indicators on and wired up (as on its own the unit is illegal).

Yeap, will fail an official MOT and has happened many times as the indicators are not properly spaced and the correct distance away from the tail light (i.e. intergrated).

I must admit it does tidy the back end up nicely and with the Pointys you can fix the front side light to be indicators too.

Terry, the flasher unit is in the same place on the Pointys too I think.
