Was at the local store before 8 this morning and it was like sale day at Harrods :(
As soon as the doors opened there was a stampede toward the biking gear.

Luckily I managed to secure a tankbag/rucksack for SeanC and purchased bike socks and Heat Regulating Biker Trousers (long johns with fancy bits) for me and the little half.:D

Also on sale although I didn't see them in the flyer was the set of maps for a tenner which I heartily recommend.

None. I wasnt overly impressed with the tank bag that i bought last time round. The magnets in the tank bag are weak as anything. No where near as good as my Oxford One which was the same price. A shame, because its a good bag.

Plus the fact, i am skint.

2 of the walkie talkie radios, textiles and 2 pairs of gloves and an alarmed disc lock, all in the nick of time as they only had one pair of xl textiles and lots of small!

.

I thought the same. Bought one last time round. Looks like a good bag with lots of features, but the magnets didn't inspire confidence, and I couldn't find an easy route for the under tank strap, so I didn't use it. Ended up using a rucksack!
I have the Small Oxford bag (Sprint? Sport?? ) which has far better magnets.
Wonder if the magnets can be replaced?

After fighting my way through the crowds of people (!) I managed to get myself some of the long johns. I had a look at the gloves but I had already gone and bought some about a week and a half ago. Also bought some W5 "Tyre care" - so I can make the bike I am selling look nice and shiny :). Oh and all of the stuff you buy that you don't need when you go lidl :P

The bloody microphone doesn't work. Good start eh.

Vox works without the headset plugged in. Waiting for the wife to come back with me car so I can take it back

And they only had ladies thermals and one set of XL mens. I aint quite that big

Pair of gloves. I wanted to look at a helmet, but none left in L except open face. Looked at the walkie talkie but fuzzy mic wouldn't fit inside my current helmet. Long Johns were only womens, socks only in size 5-8 so looks like they had a good day.

Also got a pair of big boltcutters and a pack of Haselnuss-Mignon which will prolly last until 10 minutes before going home time.

They didn't have a lot in the Swinedon store. The textile stuff looked OKas did the lids (cheaper than a new visor for me Shoei) but I'm not in the market for either.

I did pick up a first aid pack though, and it's got some useful stuff in it, only a couple of quid.

Has anyone tried the aldi stuff before? Is it any good? I was thinking of maybe getting the trousers on Monday as there only £29.99 but just wondering if anyone knows if they are decent or if I should just save up and buy other ones.
