New can - Exhaust strap size question?

Before I cut off my old can I need to buy a new S/S exhaust strap/clip thing to re-attach the new can to the pipe once cut.

What size is the strap required?

is it a 55-59mm?

May have answered this now - the one I bought 51-55 is to small.

Now I just have to grow the courage to cut the pipe!!!

Yeah a 55-59 is what you need mate, best to get the stainless steel to as you said.
