Hello,

I'm trying to remove the stock can from my SV, I've undone the 2 bolts, and loosened the clamp near the bottom. But no matter how much beans I give it I can't get it off, does this particular model need cutting or is it just stuck on with exhaust paste? Why have the clamp if it requires cutting?

Anything else to look out for? Its a Remus revolution can I'm using.

Appreciated,
T

Are you trying to remove the OEM exhaust so you can cut it so you can put the remus on???

Yes, or pull the stock one out the bottom, where the clamp is.

I'd rather avoid cutting tbh.

If you are fitting and end can, you cannot avoid cutting the OEM pipework, you have to cut it.

If its OEM pipe work then you are gonna have to cut it, see this link (http://www.twobros.com/Cust_Service/Install_Inst/005-8904x_Inst.pdf) it is for a curvy but you will get the idea!

Looks like I'll be getting the hacksaw out then.

Many thanks for your help guys. Do I need some sealant?

You shoudlnt do no. I never put any on mine and its been fine. If you are worried about it blowing from what I've read just use some clear builders silicone rather than exhaust paste, the exhaust paste goes hard and makes it a b*stard to get the pipe off again if you want to re-fit the standard exhaust.

Take a bit of care when you are cutting it, watch you dont catch your heel plates with the haxsaw blade like I did...

Nope, and the remus connector pipes are a good fit anyway!
