My SV is getting low in the brake pad department (front and rear) and I wanted to check should there be anything I'm looking out for when buying replacements, or should I get the cheapest HH rated ones I can find?

Also are they easy enough to fit myself?

I was thinking something like this:

Cheers.

easy enough to fit, although I'd be going for a named brand on the things that slow you down and help avoid hedges. :D

You do realise that the ones in the link you've posted are for the SV1000, not the 650?

And agree with LP...............branded names are the way to go.

Currently using Gold fren rear pads seem fine to me .

Got EBC HH on the front of mine, have been good evrywhere (touring, commuting, trackdays, nurnurgring etc). Easy enough to fit, a Haynes manual explains it all in minute detail really.

What are the brand names to go for? I'm not sure with pads.

I've just bought a set of ebc HH rated pads to go in the front of my pointy after a small lack of brakes at my last track day at snetterton, fa229hh and fa231hh are the part numbers. They have good reviews on here and in general.

Gold fren is the way forward. Great pads for the money.
