Florence Oregon is a Coastal community with plenty of twisty back roads for the SV, and incredible sand dunes for the LT-R450. I use the SV as a commuter for the most part...fun to ride / great mileage.
Don't know how receptive you folks are to the U.S. riders, but thought I'd give you guys a chance to either say Hello, or hurl insults....Thanks for looking at my post!

In between Motos during Dunefest 2007. Raced the 40+ B class and finished 1st in both Motos for a first overall...good times

Ahoy! :D

Wait a minute. Florence, Oregon? Isn't that where the cops tried to move a beached whale off the road?

With dynamite?

Bet you don't mess with those guys! :smt067

Welcome. (The insults come later...)

Thanks for the "welcomes"!
The local jurisdiction DID blow up a whale with dynomite. It was too big to bury so they set a charge on it...the news crew was there along with the local Mayor. A huge chunk flew over 200ft and mashed his car  Everyone cheered:notworthy:
Here's one of my 450 with the drag paddles...serious traction when you need it...

Welcome stateside geezer! This lot are a friendly bunch, just don't brag about the cost of "gas" :D.

I have family that live 30 mins from Portland airport, but on the Washington side of the border. I've been lucky enough to go a couple of times.

Have you ever ridden the road up to Mt St Helens? When I was there, I thought it would be a great road to ride.

Welcome Colonial Cousin - I shan't hold it against you that your forefathers didn't have the sense to want to remain 'attached' to England !!! :p

Love the quad - you guys are so lucky that you don't suffer from the amount of bureaucracy we do over here about where we can use off-road machines.

Hope you enjoy our site :D
