Must be age I guess but I have finally settled on what my everyday run around bike is going to be. Not normally my style of bike at all but I am considering what I perceive to be the practicalities of the situation. I am even going to do this before I order my 848! EEEEK! Cruising for a bruising it will be!
Thing is I dont have to commute and I have ,(sorry) a good 6 months of sunny days ahead of me. Being able to jump on a bike that offers a more relaxing experience than a race rep machine or using the car for short journeys does make sense to me. Additionally one that is somewhat tame in the performance department will ensure I tend to behave more and so protect my license! LOL.(Yeah, yeah I know, right hand controls the antics blah blah)
So the beast in question is going to be a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 classic. Oldey styley wire spoked wheels and retro cruiser look to it. I was not aware that kawasaki are rated very highly in this sector of the market for delivering very good quality product at an excellent price. I know we are talking a very different machine but this thing will cost half of what the 848 will. Crazy really.
Frown away, but I will ride this in non PC attire, when popping out for a coffee or down to the beach. Open face lid, jeans etc. just like I did when I had my first ever bike which was also a Kawasaki.
But as you can see I am sticking with my favoured V twin engine lay out and get more of a thob, thob sound from one of these.
