I'm coming to Scotland in 22nd August and will renting here...
http://www.cameronbrae.co.uk/
Fernbank, 1 Cameron Brae, Kentallen, Argyll
...for a week. Was hoping to get some help from you guys on places to visit.
My family will be tagging along so no bikes I'm afraid.

I would like to see salmon in its natural habitat would that be a good time? If I'm right they go upstream to lay their eggs at that time. If so where would I go?

I've also visited some sites...
http://www.highlandactivities.co.uk/
...on outdoor adventure activities which I could enjoy doing with my boys.

I'll be quite near to Fort William and Ben Nevis so I'll be spending a day there, maybe climb up the mountain.

If only I could escape them for a day and find a bike rental, the A82 has always been on my mind...

pitlochry has a good salmon bitty. you can watch them jumping up the river (dont know when they do this but I remember going to see it when I was a kid)

the sealife centre at oban has lovely otters

lots of nice scenery but watch out for the midges
buy some avon skin so softly dry oil in the green bottle the midges dont like it.

I'm a city boy, don't got no salmon here I'm afraid.

What we do have is bike rental (http://www.rentamotorcycle.co.uk/) located at the bottom of the A82. Rent, ride up, ride down, return. Sorted. :)

22nd August. Good day that one (especially the particular one in 1985)

Scotlands all beautiful; just avoid the towns ;)

I was staying slightly north of there (Glenfinnan) a few years ago, when my route to my car was blocked by a red deer stag in the road. So occasionally the wildlife does come out to play. Pity the camera was still in the car.

More important avoid the nasty blood suckers the Scots call a wee midge. It is a vampire I tell you

Good advice, but alas, impossible :(

That's quite good actually. Definitely worth considering. Thanks mate.

Thanks mate.
No worries. Of course, if you're renting a bike then you'll need Good biking roads in Scotland (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=87426) and Post your best roads (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=85548) from Ecosse.
