Mini Bar end rant

Just phoned up Suzuki...

Middle dropped out of my RH bar end sometime last week ( that'd be the bit inside that the bar end screws into)
"bit of a bummer" I thought

Except.....

They don't sell 'em as a separate part - you have to buy the whole bar end.

What's with that?
What exactly was it that went bouncing (clunking) along the motorway (or wherever) anyway?
Not what I thought it was I guess....

so......

was thinking rubber sealent, bung, whatever (araldite?) & a threaded insert?

Any ideas?

Sod the bar end - find a champange cork.

I got some rather nice ones from HG in Slough, cheap and cheerful and look nice.
