Just doing routine maitenance yesterday and removed the air filter to blast it out and there was a small amount of petrol in the air box. Is this normal. Or do i have a more serious problem on my hands.
My air filter smelt of petrol, and I ask the all knowing Sid Squid and he said - "What? That's normal".
So I would expect a little blow back.

Agreed with Grinch.
When i removed mine it smelt of petrol too. I cant say that there was any in there to actually be noticable, but there was a definate smell of petrol in the box.
If Sid say's it's normal, it's normal.

Thank God for that. I though i had another problem on my hands for a minute
Cheers for the speedy answers chaps.
Perfectly normal, it's just a bit of blow back from the carbs. Happens on my SV and my Ducati.
