I wear glasses to. You have a few options.

1. A Foggy respro mask, this directs your breath away from the visor and your glasses so it stops the fogging up.

2. A Pinlock or a Fogcity visor insert, my personal preferance is for a pinlock, but the fog city works just as well. Think of it as double glazing for your visor.

3. Some peeps advocate a dab of fairy liquid on the inside of your visor that you polish off.

4. You can buy specialist visors sprays, I think a company called Bob heath make one.

I've gone for options 1 & 2, I rarely suffer now from misting / fogging problems.

pinlock m8 i can have my visor down all day riding without having to open it and you can change the inserts as well to tint for the summer unlike the fog city which is stuck on

Pinlocks can be fussy - mine fogs up at the bottom and forces me to dip my head to look at the clocks, which is annoying. Breath guards seem to do more than anything else for me.

edit: this is a good enough place to ask - what's the difference between Arai's standard breath deflectors and their racing ones?

Theres isnt a specific Fogcity for your lid, you want the universal one, 2nd one down on this page.

When I bought my lid and previous visors, they came with the pinlock posts, cant seem to find one that comes pre-installed for your visor, but heres the Pinlock DIY kit so could fit it yourself if you fancied it...

Pinlock inserts are here, not sure which one you need for your lid though

I used to have the same issue, but I purchased one of these:

Not too sure where I got it from but it was about a tenner and has never let me down since I put it in my lid. Rain, Snow, cold it is always good.

Didn't find this too successfull

Also I find that glases without an anti-reflecting coating don't fog up as much plain ones. Anyone else found that?

PS
I tried the stop breathing trick but found that it impared my ability to ride the bike :p:p:p

If you wear glasses, a mask is usually your best bet because it's going to deflect your breath away from both your visor and your glasses.

The masks that stick in your helmet using velcro pads might not work. When I upgraded my lid to an AGV Ti-Tech, my Foggy Respro wouldn't attach to the plush liner, it just fell straight out. If you can, try before you buy.

I have used an anti-fog liquid, which I had to apply to both glasses and visor, but it never seemed to be effective for very long and I wasn't entirely happy with the slightly blurred vision it produced.

A better solution might be to get a mask that you wear, rather than one that sticks in the lid. I've not been riding this winter, so I can't tell you how good this is.

+1 on foggy insert, works a treat and changes colour in bright sunlight

I wear glasses and its a real pain.

I use a pinlock although I'm really going off it.

I feel it blocks vision slightly, which when your wearing glasses as well is really annoying.

The pinlock also becomes dirty/scratched quite quickly as its soft, this is really noticable when you take it off to clean it, the difference is colour and vision with it off is significant.

I had the same problem with the pinlock. The solution is to adjust the eccentric pins to ensure a correct fit. It's a bit tricky to do, but mine's OK now.

Just pinched this from a RiDE mag regarding the washing-up liquid technique:
"A spot is all that is required, applied with the fingers, until the fingers start to grab at the visor. At that point polish with a soft cloth. Result? Clear vision for at least five days."

S'pose it costs nothing to give it a go.

I find aftermarket dark visors work a treat as they are not 100% perfect fit so let a small amount of ait in.

I compliment mine with a fog city, and a foggy mask. it took a while to fit the foggy mask correctly so it worked but now i am 100% fog free.

Another vote for pinlock here.

I tried the foggy mask but didn't get on with it, worth a try though.

I use a visor spray- Holts visor spray- does anti fog and rain repellant at once (sprayed on both sides of visor, obviously...!).

This works well if you apply the spray in a different way to the can, which says spray on and wipe off excess & allow to dry. I spray on a generous amount, allow it to dry for a few mins and then polish with a cloth- this does a sterling job, even without a breath guard. I do 2 applications on particularly cold days and also use the breath guard (is an HJC FG-14 and has a removable guard), though I daresay a pinlock system is far better.

The spray goes on normally every 1-2 days, so is a lot of effort, but a can (about 5ish) lasts for a few months normally- more in summer, less in winter.

I have worn glasses under the lid and used above spray on them- but it's not so good with this. I wear contact lenses most of the time, so this is not a worry for me.

Have you considered contact lenses? Makes life a lot easier re bike lids (and other stuff). I personally don't like the idea of extra lenses/bits of metal and plastic knocking about in the lid if something bad happens.

Slight derail- has anyone ever tried PTFE spray (like Muc-Off bike protector) on the outside of the visor? I may try this with a spare old visor, when I order new ones soon- it does a cracking job of keeping rain and muck off (muc-off?!) the bike, but not sure how it'll obscure visibility. I've tried it on mirrors, but it looks like it needs to dry and a fair bit of polishing to keep the view clean.

I got a breath gaurd. The only time my visor steams up is when i put on too many layers and get a bit hot and perspire at the lights

Open face helmet + balaclava in winter... oh and only breathe at over 50mph, helps keep speeds up!
