I recently tried to put on some motrax D led indicators to create that flush front end look (pointy). However , even with the resistors they just dont flash brightly enough . The flash rate is fine . When I turn my alarm on and off the indy works perfectly with its true brightness but once I swith indy on proerly as a turn signal it is very faint and not noticable unless you cup your hands around it to make the immediate area dark . Like i say when used to switch the alarm they are fine .
Can anyone please offer any advive or even a solution to this problem .

Not had much dealings with LED's but, the old mini indicators you used to have to change the bulbs to get them the right wattage. Maybe it's the same with them and the remaining bulbs. Be interested in the solution misel'.

Any motor electricians out there shine a light on this ?
Purely a guess here, but LEDs only really dim if there's not enough current reaching them, so maybe wrong resistors?
What resistors, and what type of resistor are you using? Also, are your other indicators LED or filament bulbs?
Just a thought, but it could be the indicator flasher relay that's not giving enough power to the indicators, usually alarms are wired to the indicators bypassing the relay. You can also buy replacement flasher relays that would negate any requirement for resistors at all.

Strap your new leds indicator across your battery. They should be nice and bright. Some Leds dont need a resistor added to the circuit, it's got one built in. Have you wired your resistor correctly? They should be across the + and - of the indicator to provide a load for the flashing circuit. They should be bright. Perhaps you have bad connections? Dirty! Check! :smt024
