Hi,
I received some brake lines this morning which I bought from a forum member, and I just wanted to check something:- I tried the lines on the bike, just holding them in situ, and all look too long. I was wondering if anyone on here had some HEL lines (or others) and wouldn't mind measuring them so I could compare. Mine are for a K3 S, 2 line front, and 1 rear. The lengths I have just measured are:
F - 78cm
F - 80.5cm
R- 43 cm
The rear looks like about an inch to long, and the fronts 2 inches or so.
The HEL box which they came in show that they are for "SV650S K3" - which should be right for my bike.
Also, does anyone know the pitch for the bolts - I have heard stories of the wrong pitch bolts being sent. I have measured them, and they seem to be approx 1mm between each thread (not that I know if that is the right way to measure them!) I don't want to start stripping the bike until I know I have all the correct parts I need.
Just to make it clear, if these lines are the wrong length, I am in no way blaming the forum member who sold them to me - I am more than happy with the condition of these parts, and they are as were described.
Would appreciate any help.
Thanks,
BB.
