I cannot believe this hasn't been discussed before but I cannot find it. Any tips to stop the white numb finger on the throttle hand, due to vibration, or is it just me? Replies of a sensible order only please!

Get yourself some decent heavy bar end weights, they help to absorb this vibration and can alter the revs at which the vibration occurs. There were some nice looking heavy stainless end weights for sale on here recently.

Hey cooky, no it's not just you. A few tips which work for me are loose grip on throttle, and keeping the revs to a minimum, obviously higher revs mean more vibration, And take hand off throttle when ever possible, Hope this helps.

I can now say after having been on the NW3 with my new suspension set up, that the seriously bad vibration has disappeared.
To get rid of it I have had Hagon Progressive fork springs put in, 15W fork oil and some very hefty stainless bar ends. Before a stint down the M62 would have been a nightmare...now smooth, and sooooooooo not bumpy

Thanks people, the heavier bar ends seem the least effort!

Numb fingers can be caused by nothing more than gripping the throttle too tight, try to ease off on your grip.
If the vibrations are still giving you gyp, there may be a problem with the carburettor ballance.

it can be, but its more likely that the Sv is vibration monster. Or you may just have teeny hands like me. changing the gearing helps too.
My other Sv has ohlins fork springs, 12W oil( i think) and is higher geared for the MWay, it doesn't vibrate and has standard barends on. BTW both my bikes carbs are balanced regulary.
The yellow one was completly standard til recently and boy has the set up got rid.

My carbs are balanced, and I still get slightly numb fingers after 4 or 5 hours constant riding
