I can't help thinking this has really stepped up a notch or two since it began.....

Happy to make the modifications as needed to promote respectable and respected lunging, but you can't just go posting peoples pictures anywhere on the internet without their permission.

Richie - any more description for the above pic? OK to publish on wikipedia?

This is lungetastic. Lungipedia, thats whats next....

I might be able to help a little here due to my interest in Military History.

Sgt.Numbers is giving a classical and text book display of the "Eastern Lunge" which was first used to repel Russian forces in 1854 at The Battle of Balaclava. Adding particular impact to it's usage at the time was the fact that the Sutherland Highlanders and 93rd Highlanders were involved in this epic battle.

The Scottish regiments shortened the length of their kilts before performing the first thrust by use of The Lunge which saw many of the charging Russian cavalry flee in retreat due to the mass displays of ample sporrans which the use of The Lunge created.

It makes me proud to say that I am a member of the SV650 lunge fraternity. A tear almost comes to my eye with pride when I think of the lunge spreading across literally several other websites.

Long live the lunge, hiphip, hooray! hiphip, hooray! hiphip, HOORAY! for the lunge.

Superb. Another level.

This must surely represent "Das Lunge" (I think its feminine actually, so 'Die'?), or to title the pictures collectively:

"Sie stürzten zusammen los"

All together now: (pron: "zee sh-turtzen tsoo-za-mmen loze)
--"They lunged together"

...applying the above logic, that makes this

http://forums.sv650.org/showpost.php?p=1541531&postcount=169
"el Lunge-o"

and this

might be "y lunge"
