So I had my back waxed......

The missus has been moaning about the fact that my back is hairy and I look like a silver back gorilla for ages and I finally agreed to have it waxed as I thought it might stand me in good stead.

Anyway she booked me in for it Friday night and I nervously turned up went through almost an hour of pain to be hair free on my back. Now thinking she'd be really pleased that I had it done I was happy with myself and although it was still stining I got in the car.

I explanined that it really hurt, to which she just called me a wimp.

I then showed her my back, to which she replied ' there are still some hairs on it' followed by ' she did a crap job didn't she?'.

How am I to know, I have never seen my back nor did I have anything to compare it to.

It put me in a bad mood all weekend, the fact that I did it for her (not me) and that she did nothing but moan about it.....

Am I just over reacting?

She's moaning that THEY did a bad job, not that YOU made them do a bad job. With things like waxing, it HAS to be done right or it looks revolting. She should take you back to the salon and complain. :lol:

Earlier in the week I had bough some silk undies, as she had mentioned in a conversation she had never had any. Then it seemed like it was my fault that they came up small and didn't fit her properly, I bought the size I always buy for her.

I cannot win at the moment. I'm so p*ssed of at the moment and my keyboard is feeling the brunt of it.

I had the C n S before, no point in doing the back as that was'nt hairy.....oh the pain...never again :(

......well not sure i'd go that far, but I was thinking I would get some form of between the sheets gratitude.

Had my back waxed 4 times now. One of them raised 600 quid for comic relief by having it done in a pub.

It hurts like hell. But I always forget just how much it hurts each time I book it, right until that first strip gets ripped off. The bits that hurt me the most was around my kidneys and the base of my neck

I spose it depends how hairy you are. I was called Ewok at college cos I was short and furry..... (still am)

I understand why you're upset - It would have been nice for her to thank you/show appreciation etc..it is a tad mean to make negative comments but perhaps she didnt mean it to come out the way it did? As someone else said, she wasnt criticising you, she was criticising the person who waxed you :)

If you get it done again it won`t hurt so much second time round, I get waxed every 6 weeks (obv not my back!) and i`m immune to the pain now
