My ex-girlfriend emigrated to Oz in January and was going to take this with her, but it'd cost too much to ship it, so it's for sale. It's been fastidiously maintained by the previous owner and herself. He was an engineer at Lotus, and my ex has a PhD in mechanical engineering specialising in automotive development, so you can guess the levels to which it's been cared for. This is one of the early shape pearl white VFRs but with 17" wheels front and back.
It's got very low mileage for the year, has an almost new full stainless Motad exhaust and was fully serviced by me and the ex last September, it's done very few miles since. At service time we fitted the exhaust which requires swingarm removal, and all rear suspension bearings were checked and regreased before reassembly. It also had new fork seals/oil and a full brake overhaul about a year ago. The only faults I know of are the time clock on the dash has packed up and there's a repaired piece on the left hand centre fairing that requires painting (it fell over in Spain on soft ground). It has a new front tyre and an almost new rear. Bearing in mind the exhaust was 450 and the tyres 200, it makes for a cheap bike that requires no immediate work.
It's a cracking bike and unlikely to devalue further as all VFRs seem to hit a price level and stay there regardless of miles/condition.
She wants ?1100 for it (no offers), which I think is well worth the money
