since my last post regarding lost keys,i have now managed to get a new set for the ignition and the saet lock, but they dont open the fuel tank, anyone know how to get the fuel tank lock and filler out. without the key,i have taken out the set of allen screws around the rim,but that dont seem to help,.

There is a bolt under the filler cap and only option as far as I know is to drill the lock.
That's what I had to do....bought a tank a few years ago that came with a filler cap etc but no key Duh!!
Oviously got to drain the tank first, then leave it for quite a while to get rid of vapour completely :o .
Mine had been sat for months so no potentially explosive vapours by the time it came to drilling the lock.
To drain, take out the fuel tap underneath. I'll suggest not to disturb the fuel level sensor though.
As usual start with a smallish drill. It shouldn't take long before you are able to unlock it with a screwdriver ....
Good luck

drilled it out in place ,battery drill 8mm bit did the trick,no real danger with the petrol, tank is still sealed,no need to go all the way through, little bit at a time does the trick, you do need to buy a complete new unit though.excellent service from wemoto spares.£33.00 the full unit with surround.:smt067
