Why will it be confused?

It will still have a mum and a dad, surely until the kid is old enough to ask (and I hope when he/she does they are honest) they will just live under the mis-assumption that it all happened as normal.

Best thing they can do is keep out of the news any more so that the kid doesnt get it thrown at them before its ready to deal with this.

Good luck to them I say.

Saw him on Oprah this morning saying he was secure in his gender identity but kept his reproductive organs just in case. He didn't specify in case of what but presumably in case he wanted to get pregnant.

He will soon be able to put an end to the eternal argument about which is more painful, giving birth or getting kicked in the balls.

Except as having been born a woman he will never have had any........

Tho having just paid attention and seen that they consented to being a story on Oprah/sought publicity, my respect for them had gone waaaay down.

I thought you got a pair when you went in for the op? Otherwise you might as well just draw a beard on and lower your voice a bit

"he" is a woman with a beard who desied to have her boobs chopped off. How the hell does she think that makes her a man???
If i went and had boobs attached to my body would that make me a woman?

Stupid wierd people who have no sense of self or identity and then want to play at bringing up kids???? FFS they should get to know themselves before they confuse a growing child with all that.

I think there's a little more to it than that but I'd like to get the definitive on the addition of knackers. Anybody?

Jeez folks, get into the 21st Century and out of the 16th.....

If someone wants to approach me and tell me they are a Vampire/Sheep/Whatever, then thats fine by me, tho I DO reserve the right to take the ****/prove them wrong.

How someone identifies themself is up to them - look at the number of "Gender Bending" that we, in the Soho Massive see EVERY week - well except when Bear doesn't turn up.

Seriously tho, if She, wants to look like and be treated like a He, then I think that is due some respect.

Its easy to point and poke fun at people who are different, but its probably not a fraction as easy to be one of them.

Not really - you were just the last to post in the thread when I went off on one :P

Tho I guess it does apply somewhat as I believe if She wants to be called a He, then it all kind of fits together the way they want it.

it just seems a bit strange to me. she was a woman who wanted to be a man but when it suits he changes back to being a woman and then after the birth back to being a man. make up your bloo dy mind. Did he supply the sperm or is the wife a man (I know it was artificial insemination but the goodies must have come from someone) How weird would it be if he/she impregnated him/herself

This is about as fantastical as me having a tit-job and then getting it in the news if I got my girlfriend up the duff. Whoop-de-woop.

Edit: Kitkat, it was bought from a sperm bank, I believe. As to self insemination, it's technically possible. Very rarely, a women's fertilised egg (fertilised by a man) takes on all the properties of the egg and none of the sperm. You wind up with a child who is effectively an identical twin of the mother (albeit much younger, obviously). Throws up all sorts of ethical questions about people choosing to do this to "continue their line" if they can't find a suitable mate/have funny supremacist views about their genes, etc.
