I have a similar question, for big items (eg I've a few bits of bikes to post out) will some couriers collect from your house?

Citylink i think are nationwide, and DHL do a domestic service. However, it would be so much cheaper to buy a new bed.
If you where on contract, then youd be looking at about £15, but as a private customer, id say somewhere in the region of £100+
You could alwyas try parcel farce..erm, force. Datapost 24/48 or something similar.
Bear. HTH ;)
Go on Quiff, you know you want to.

You'd have to prep it for transport, couriers pick up packages, not items. I was selling my water bed on ebay, until the winning bidder was insisting on collecting by courier. I pulled the auction in the end, it was going to be so much hassle for me to pack all the parts for transport.

Quiff - I can help you out with 2 options :)
Friend of mine does removals - give me details and I'll ask him
I use couriers for my business and could ask them for a price.

I've been using this site recently. Has been extremely reliable. In most cases its DHL that actually does the collection/delivery.
www.parcel2go.com (http://www.parcel2go.com)
p.s. go for the cheaper delivery option (2 to 4 days I think it is) as they nearly always deliver next day anyway.

jester can get allsorts on his bike :D
One of my mates was kicked out of Uni when he was 20, he brought his worldly possessions back to Bedford from Manchester on the back of a Honda CB250RS single, all packed inside his new fridge which was tied with rope to the pillion seat and rack.
