. . . . . again!!!

This is the second time within a week I've managed to lose my keys .

I reckon my age is catching up with me.:(

So what can I do to stop locking myself out?

Never leave the house?

Get a good looking hunk of a lodger, very useful for this and other situations?:p

Keep a spare in my car?

Move in with one of you lot?

Keep them with the bike. Cause if your anything like most of us, we are with the bikes more than any other person or place!!!!

PS - In all seriosness, give a spare to a mate or family member who you really really trust.

what you need melody is a big brick around your neck. failing that the mother-out-law has the same problem, dimentia, she has provided keys for over half of the northwest region so theres always someone close at hand that can help.
hopes this helps mel.

Yep, had done that. Just hadn't replaced the one I had given to a friend who lives close to me so had to drive a long way to get my other spare.

Blumin 'eck Mel, twice in a week? :-P

Maybe you could attach them to a little karabina thing and hook it somewhere on your person, like a belt loop or something? maybe keep a spare attached to your bike/car keys?

I have house keys on my bike keys and car keys. I dont do any other form of transport, so always have a key on me. However, i did lock myself out the other day..you know the thing, ' Oh i'll just put something in the bin' then the oh f*ck slowmo moment when you try to catch the door before it shuts!! It was snowing, cold, i was in joggers and a t-shirt, mobile indoors! ****!

However, i found that its surprisingly easy to break into a house using an electical scewdriver!

So there you have carry an electrical screwdriver round with you.

I prefer to carry a Viney around with me - comes in handy for all sorts of odd jobs:D.

When my mum started to get forgetful we had a digital lock fitted to the back door, it worked for a while.

Quite often I'll leave the house without a key to get back in, so I buried a spare key in an easy to get to but hidden from sight point of the back garden. It's wrapped up in clingfilm to stop it getting manky and has a cable tie through the hole that sticks up out of the ground. I know roughly where it is, and scrabbling around for it with my hand usually finds the cable-tie pretty quickly. Once I've got into the house I just put new clingfilm around it and bury it again.

But wouldn't she forget the code? ;) (or doesn't it need one lol)

Install a key pad? Cheap and you will not loose the keys again.
