Those of you on NW3 may remember my son and his mates going past the first re-group with their kayaks, en route to the Afon Cwm LLan. This is what Jon did...

Sometimes it's better to be lucky. :nomore:
2nd to last picture, absolute pure comedy :D
The look of 'MUMMY' then the thought of 'holy crap that was lucky' and 'how did I manage to pull that off without damage'

He was unscathed! small scratch on elbow pads and small scratch on helmet. I gave them a roasting for not wearing a full face lid - we have one in the garage for this kind of thing!

They both are. The photos were taken by his sister, who walked this particular fall I believe.
This is her on next fall (I think)

The thing is, a full face lid is the only sensible head wear on big rocky drops, but they are not popular because they are hot / heavy / uncool for the rest of the river. The Cwm LLan is just a river falling off Snowden (about a 2 miles down the valley from first photo stop on Sunday NW3) and has nothing but waterfalls on it, so no excuse not to wear a full facer. Dad will no doubt be ignored.

Those waterfalls look as though they should be looked at whilst on a quiet Sunday afternoon walk with your loved one, not for chucking yourself over the edge of it in a piece of glassfibre.
Rather you than me :cool::):thumbsup:
Hell no they are perfect for throwing yourself off........providing your not paying for the plastic :cool:

My brother does this kind of thing although I don't think quite as big. Have just emailed him the link. Looks awesome, you not fancy trying it Mike ;)

Been there, done that, have several t-shirts. One too many visits to the green room rather finished me off for class V+. If we ever get a decent season in UK, I will get back in my kayak. Last trip out broke me paddle and me face on a much smaller drop lol
