I think they are right not to give in to the Vandals, Couldnt they put the roadsign higher up and out of reach.

I agree - its ridiculous that this is the prevailing attitude in this country.

Just send all the local cops away on a training course and have the locals stake out the sign.

A good kicking should stop the vandals from re-offending

Used to have the same problem around here with vandals, little village near us called Gastard used to get changed on a regular basis.

And no it's not one of my jokes it's true :D

I found the story funny.

Just think how many times that they have to repeat the place name on the phone, especially to our overseas call centres :)

I reckon and exploding sign as the paint hits it is a better option :)

True this. I used to have a client called Mr B@stard. At first I called him 'Mr Ba-stard' and he replied 'for God's sake, the name's B@stard'. I guess he got fed up with people sniggering.
