Hi,

After many months of lurking I have finally gotten the courage to say hi.

I am now counting the days until my DAS and I can head out and purchase an SV.

Anyway, I'm presently in North Beds but we (wife and son) are hoping to move to Worcester in the near future.

So hello everyone...

Sparky

Greetings, good luck with the plan, got any experiance or is this all going to be new to you ?

A good idea to put you location in your profile as then it's on all your posts (yeah I know you said it may change), get out and meet some of the guys, regular meets are in the various sections.

Cheers Mark.

Hi,

Not had much riding experience. User to ride a moped 20 odd years ago and that was it. Have always wanted to get a bike but time and money always conspired against me. Anyhow I have finally convinced the Mrs (well just booked it without telling her :p) that now is the time to get my licence, especially with the impending changes in Oct.

So the theory is done, CBT is done, now just the DAS on 20 & 21st May with my test on the 21st. So keep your fingers crossed for me.

And a curvy SV is my preferred choice both financially and also aesthetically.

I too went for a curvy due to money reasons. Turns out, that you spend less money and get the best model, especialy if you get a yellow 1999 curvy. Oh yes, its a beast

Good luck with the test and everything :D dont forget to budget in some good gear!

Thanks for the welcome... I'll keep you all posted on the test.

Drew, Lily - I'll be sure to look you when we eventually get there.

Are there any org members on here from Bedford? There was a blue 'pointy' that appeared to have just had a coming together with a car at the end of my road this morning. The rider looked fine but the bike was missing it's plate and rear indicators. Strange as the front looked fine, least I couldn't see any damage on casual glances. Anyway, just being nosy. If you are on here, hope you're ok fella.

Cheers
