This is the charity that I am sending the leftover money from Mark's wreath to for anyone who was unsure, I was wrong in assuming it would be the air ambulance.

I'd very much like to get started with writing up something for the fallen friends section of the forum. Can I ask you lot for some sort of contribution :?: Send me whatever you want via PM, I'll sort something out, print it out and bring it to a meet for everyone to cast an eye over before submitting it.
Chop chop now. Even if it's just a few words, it'll help me out.
Cheers.

Has anything happened with this yet.
I am officially feeling guilty and will be drafting some words tonight/tomorrow. Come on boys we need to pull our fingers out of our a**es and draft something asap. It has after all been over 2 months now!

Here is a first draft. Do with it what you will. Tear apart, amend it or even start again but hopefully this will spur us all on to finalise something for the fallen friends section of the site.

Now I feel terrible ! Dont know what came over me. I guess I always just used to refer to him as ASM :-( so I am not used to using his first name!

Those are some great words Jon, seems fine to me. Either picture is good, or maybe an edited version of the one is Sarah's avatar. If someone chases up Admin, I'll chase up Fox's on Saturday.

I'll sort it out at the weekend.

I went to Jewson, got some screws and went to Fox's. They apologised again for not doing it, but were kind enough to let me do it myself. It is now mounted to the fireplace beam and looks really nice. We can now go on trips to see Mark at Fox's :).

Nice one Nick. Mark will never be forgotten.
Excellent. At least I can now tell Debs the plaque has been mounted. Which I will do tomorrow.
Just like to say a big thank you for everyone that has donated in memory of Mark.
£490 raised for his nominated charity. Excellent and some very nice comments made. His parents (Pete & Debs) are aware of the web page and visit now and then. They would also like to pass on thier gratitude. So again, thanks to you all. :smt038 :smt038 :smt038

I stopped by Fox's last week and saw the plaque. Nice one Nick, looks a little crooked though ;-)
Rode past the accident spot and gave some sort of salute, I could just picture ASM saying what a tit I looked...

Nice one. Any news on when we can get the 'Fallen Friends' page updated?
What needs to happen to get this done as it seems to be taking forever. More than happy to do some web editing but alas I dont have access to the server.

Have we had any update from "Admin" regarding the update of the the fallen friends section of the site? Sorry to keep harping on about this but it is the last part of the puzzle and we really need to get it sorted.
Am more than happy to do some chasing or even web editing to get it done, but I dont want to go behind anyones back and tread on toes.
Jon
No I haven't. Not only that but I have also lost the tribute that I had already done and sent. You may remember I was waiting for input by anyone else but nothing came forward.
I did it all myself and emailed it. It obviously didn't get to it's intended target for what ever reason.
Jon, I believe you had something created. Do you want to get it into print and bring it with you on Tuesday to the Shire?

I'd like to write a short piece if thats ok? Will PM you Si..
KnightRider
20-07-08, 07:36 PM
No probs Si.
I think as far as I can tell we need one piece of text and a photo. It would therefore make sense if everyone could amend the text that we already have rather than create seperate sections - the alternative would mean that I would have to go through it all and try and peice them all together.

I had a look at the fallen friends section and there are several tributes for each person.. Shouldn't be a problem should it?

My fault, having just moved house I have been working quite hard to get everything put away etc.
Will try and look at it later this week.

Nope, it's definitely crooked!
It was nice to see it there on Sunday though. The first thing I did when we got to Fox's was go to see it.

Meh ;)
Screws were really hard to get into the wood! You may of course redo it if you can reach it :-P
Just thought you would like to know it is Mark's inquest tomorrow. It's been delayed twice previously so hopefully no further delays.

Ah I was wondering when it was, they said something like 6-9 months. Lets hope its an open and shut case from a closure point of view. I hope his parents are doing ok Si, if you see or email them again let them know we are still thinking of them and Mark.

Fallen friends updated. I had asked for Streethawk's text to also be uploaded but Admin (John) didn't load it (maybe he didn't want the text to be too long?). Streethawk, if you want to chase Admin to get it uploaded feel free.
