View Full Version : What's he doing?
My brother doesn't post much so I thought I'd get him to explain exactly what he was doing yesterday when I went over to meet for our Sunday ride.
You guys have any ideas?
Sorry Simon :smt078

I mean.....I like bikes.....but man!!!!! lol
To quote someone from a thread last night....."He's cleaning his sprocket".
He's gonna kill me when he sees this. I was originally thinking of shooting his garage to put into the, "show us your garage" thread but I thought this should start a tread out on it's own merit! Haha, I'm dead :)
look at all those cake boxes
That's my dad's idea of sorting out junk. Well to be honest you'll find everything in this garage to build an atomic bomb. Dad is the ultimate hoarder, but an organized one at that.

Man I've never seen so many boxes!!!! lol
look at that ruffty tuffty biker wear.
do you have rubber roads over there
Dad, now retired used to work as a storeman for a telecomm company so that explains part of it. He wasn't feeling very well lately and had to have an operation done to restore his eyesight so that's why there's stuff all over the place. He's recovering but he's still grumpy about the whole thing.

Must be a Maltese thing, me and my dad are the same. My dad's got all manner of ancient and never to be used again **** in his garage

Already too hot and uncomfy to ride in leather jeans mate. I know its not sensible but honestly its unbearable. Its the way we ride over here most of the time. You should see the Italians in flip-flops and shorts.

Anyone interested in Austin Farina hubcaps, a Cortina 16E dashboard, MG wishbone shockabsorbers, about half a million assorted nuts and bolts; I can go on for ever...
does he have a disk brake for a 250 x7
250 x7. Now that's ancient! :)
Sadly no, dad's not into bikes so not much bike parts there except ours.
My friend has got some parts left from a T250 though. Are the disks the same?

Suzuki T250 Hustlers had drum brakes front and rear as standard, as did the 350 Rebel.
I've owned a couple of them.

The Cortina Mk2 1600E dash would be worth something to the right person, is it an early one with the extra clocks mounted in a separate pod above the dash, or later one with them in the centre panel.
I've owned a couple of these too.
Austin A40 Farina hubcaps are pretty worthless nowadays unless they're like new, and even then they're not worth fortunes.
I had one of those too (MPO 88D)
He's obviously just checking his big end's o.k. impressive tally of boxes there.
Daryl.

Yes it's the later one with the clocks in the middle.
The Farina was a right laugh. Used to race it against the teacher's Alfa Sprint every morning through traffic to school when I was a laddy. He was really ****ed off that I won most of the time although he never admitted he raced me. He always said, " you were there, I didn't see you". As if!
