Oh no

I guess now you've told the insurers, you cant back out. I'm sure it could be repaired for less than 600 quid

I understand what you mean about many car drivers; most dont look anywhere other than 5 feet of the road in front, it seems. I see too many people with mirrors either broken, or folded in - they obviously don't use them, otherwise they would miss that broken/folded in mirror and get some sort of replacment knocked up as soon as possible or just unfold the ruddy thing.

Me and maria's mum caught two people texting on their mobiles today. Since i was passenger, I took a photo of them texting and of their numberplate, but the pics on my phone are just too low resolution to use to report to the police

Least on the bike I can scare them with a handfull of throttle, make them look. Even this is proving ineffective now :-(

i would imagine the ?600 is the excess, not the repair bill...

Trust me on this makes no difference, in fact they tend to panic and get your way more sigh....yes most drivers have no advanced vison and don't look beyond the front of the car.

Dude sorry to here of your off, was a shame you didn't make it to silverstone was looking foward to meeting up (the viper can is ace btw) well the good news isn that your not too badly hurt, you will heal fast. When you and the bike are healed, let me know must arrange a ride sometime. Ride safe.

Is it possiable to use pattern parts to get back on the road and replace them as money allows?

argh bad news mate, but at least you are relatively ok. Bikes can be fixed easily, but of course its a pain to have to keep doing it! Just wish the cager had stopped, what a low down scum.

Bad luck pal. Live and learn...........that you can't trust any other road user for a second. Mind if I ask how the driver cut you up?

from what ive seen of car drivers these days they have too many distractions (phones, sat nav ,loud music ect) ive only been riding a year and had 5 very near misses and im just waiting for the inevetable to happen ,glad your ok all car drivers should be made to ride a bike

Davido

No, car drivers should be made to sit on a bike and pushed over. Then tell them to imagine it at 30mph.
