I've got to say that's impressive stuff. As a chap in the know Davido I take it the gearing on bikes like that Harley is slightly lower than standard (must be quite a challenge to do on a Harley with belt drive?) and do they have a rear brake on the handlebars, or is that all done on engine braking, even the really slow stuff?

Also, given that Harley's are wet sump (I think) how does he get round riding vertical for so long......

I can tell you:

Harley's (like any v twin) have a lot of low end torque, and if you give it enough beans it willcome up just like any other bike.

The wheelie in the first video was about 5-10 seconds,which is nowhere near long enough to oil starve an engine (I was up a good two minutes before mine went). Jason Pullen I think has an oil pickup which basically makes it so the oil is picked up from the back of the sump,making it harder to oil starve.

That guy is not high enough to need to use any brake, as you can hear his throttle is being used all the time so no chance of any engine braking going on.

To slow it down he will use the foot brake, you bring the bike up to the balance point and the revs will become steady and you can literally go for miles if you hold it here, then once you start to go behind this point you ease off the throttle and let the engine brake gently slow you down, dabbing the back brake to stop you from flipping.

Oh and yes doing it on a stock harley weighing half a ton is going to be more difficult than on a sports bike, but it is possible.
