Just so everyone knows where they're going,

Tomorrow morning we'll be doing a run, as discussed in another thread, from the regular TVSF haunt - the Shire Horse just outside Maidenhead - to Fox's Diner near Oxford. The route will take in the accident location for those who want to stop and have a think or whatever.

Route is as follows:

http://tinyurl.com/6dvk9h

Meet at the Shire Horse, on the A4 just west of the A404 near Maidenhead: http://tinyurl.com/5vlfea at 11am. We'll be leaving the Shire at 11.30am.

From there, A4 to A404; A404 to Bisham roundabout, left to Bisham and Marlow; At top of Marlow High Street, left onto A4155 to Henley; In Henley, right at roundabout onto A4130 toward Wallingford and Oxford; Near Wallingford, right at roundabout onto A4074 toward Benson and Oxford.

The invite is open to anyone who wants to come along. It won't be a fast run and the TVSF are a fairly robust bunch so the atmosphere is unlikely to be like a funeral - we've already done that. SV650s are not mandatory.

Please register intent via the poll above so we know if we're missing anyone - if you arrive at the Shire after 11.30am and there's nobody there, either follow the route above or head up the A404 and follow the signs for Henley then Oxford and you won't go far wrong.

Most likely before, since the alternative is to ride straight past which would be a bit pointless.

I know it sounds pathetic, but I really don't fancy riding if it is tanking down tomorrow. So if it's dry or not too bad then I shall be coming along too.

It was belting it down here at 730 but it seems to have eased off a bit now.

This all bodes well - I'm meant to be off camping after.

I'm currently sat here trying to work out how to strap a tent to an RGV without the use of a cargo net. It's quite a conundrum.

I have an octupus type bungee thing if you wish to borrow it. Say now or forever hold your trap.

Home safe and sound. Decided on the spur of the moment to call in at Onyerbike and scored some free shortbread from the burger van:D

The bad weather held off until we were almost home, hope everyone else had a safe run back.

Very moving seeing all the bikes parked up at the accident site.

Nice to meet some new faces and some old ones.. (don't mean 'old' old! ;-))

Was a good turnout, just sad that we were one member missing but i'm sure he was with us in spirit.. :-(

Took an interesting route home, at one point I thought the road would turn into a dirt track.. Got slightly lost in back lanes coming away from Fox's. Nice work on the plaque Scifi..

Nice to meet some new people, it was good to see you all.

Thanks for the responce to the plaque. It really was the least I could do. If someone could let me know if/when it goes up.

I had an interesting time finding Princes Risbourgh (sp?) afterwards, there are some great roads between Benson there and Reading... :D

Ironically the reason I'd gone up to Princes was to collect an eBay item which just happened to be AlpinStar Boots, fortunately NOT white ones!;)

Excellent job on the plaque scifi, the picture is great especially.

Was good to see everyone and hope everyone got back safe and sound even though the GM lot buggered off and left me at a roundabout while my bike decided to play funny games in first gear!

Lovely weather for a long distance run. Still, the RGV made it there and back without missing a beat - I reckon there's a reasonable chance it'd make it to Belgium in July if I really try...
