Strange phone call!

Was at work the other day (in the hospital) and I got a phone call asking could you please come down to ward * as your dad has just been admitted and is asking for you! I asked are you sure, the nurse on the other end of the line said you are "so and so" from ward *, replies me yes but you had better get a priest in if you have my dad. The nurse replied worried "why is he very religous" I replied no my dad passed away in 1993!!!! Strangly there was silence one the other end of the line for a few minutes, then the nurse goes oh right sorry to bother you trying not to laugh.

No joke it is one of the strangest phone calls ever!

we're getting sick of the cold calls at work, so when i fielded a call on monday this week the conversation went like this:

"Hello, can i speak with whoever handles your telephone service please"

"Oh, I'm sorry, we don't actually have a telephone"

"...........Ok, sorry to have bothered you, bye"

we were laughing for ages:lol:

I have no idea who the guy was and I wasnt willing to go see who it was! (aye me a chicken) I like your idea lone wolf, I just normaly hang up on tele sales folk they drive me nuts. As for there being 2 of me, no chance they broke the mould when they made me :p
