Just bled brakes for the first time and from what i've heard it can be a pig. So i got a couple of speed bleed nipples and they're bloody great, lets the fluid through and doesn't let any air in. So if you need some new nips give these a try ;)

That is all!!!

I got a spanner, bit of tube and a jam jar, works fine, but hey people tell me it's a problem, so if it works for you :smt023

Cheers Mark.

I think im a master bleeder now. I bled the clutch about a thousand times, I kid you not thinking that the clutch was dragging and causing problems.... turned out it was the gear selecter arm that needed greasing... Sigh. :smt005

At least im a good bleeder now. :D

I can do it with just a tube, but I'm miles faster with the big syringe and they're dead cheap, so it's worth it I reckon.

I use a spanner, that's it. Why complicate matters?

Only a spanner here too. Just clean all the excess fluid and you're away.

It doesn't start to bubble paint until its been on there a good few hoursanyway.

Nothing wrong with it... just you get oil all over the floor etc and it just cant be as easy I wouldn't have thought.

But whatever. :D

Yeah, the tube and pot is really just to prevent it from needing cleaned up, to me letting it spill everywhere DOES complicate matters while keeping it contained is simpler. But I can see both ways. The reason I use the syringe is much the same, it's quicker and easier, and makes no mess- to me that's simpler.

A friend of mine has the gun thing, about ?40 or something like that, but then I've shown him several times how to do it and he still can't so for him it was a good investment.

to be honest whatever works for you is best.

* How was the show Andy ?
