A ginger SV and a neddy (thats chavy to you Englanders) Corsa.....

And I thought you had some style Stoney-me-boy.....

Nah only kidding - I kinda had both of your vehicles in one, in about the same area a good few years ago - the metalic-ish brown 1.3 Nova :)

Both looking good :)

Racelines are my alloys, lightweight competition wheels. i'm not really into the bodykits and things just more the power to be honest. The little corsa has 164bhp at the moment :) and with the fact i use no vehicle to get to work i cant warrant buying a new car :) glad you like them though.

Very nice - apart from the "badboy" bonnet on the Corsa http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v607/skip665/forum/headshake.gif

if im honest i had the bonnet made for a previous gf, who then lets just say had a little accident with her car. My bonnet was badly rusted so rather than waste it i put it on my car. was just handy more than what i wanted :)

Its a shame as IMO it spoils what is otherwise a tastefully modded car - not something you see too often on a Corsa!

Ouch! Surprised that wasnt a write-off!

Stoneyginger
21-04-08, 09:35 AM
it was a write off mate :( i spent a lot of time and money keeping it on the road to be honest. i had to get wheels and other little extras out of it through the back of the bodyshop place.

2.0 redtop I take it? Me likes. What exhaust system do you have on the corsa? I helped build my mates one a couple of years back. Nice wheels too btw.

its a powerflow from the one at BOD and its pretty quiet which i like till i give it some throttle. Yeah she is a very healthy red top ;)

Yep I hate the badboy bonnets too, but otherwise that's nice  I suppose teh Corsa is sort of the car equivalent of an SV ;) We use to have a redtop in a cavalier repmobile, it was ace. No idea what it was doing in there, it was supposed to be the boring 1.8L, used to confuse all the mechanics

At the moment the corsa gets no more money spent on it other than petrol.......... till i have a new can for the bike anyway ;)

What you planing on doing next? 164bhp! She must drive well, any tourque steer?

Stoneyginger
28-04-08, 09:28 PM
well to be honest i wanna get little bits of the paint sorted as little things are bugging me, then a general tidy up. No torque steer and it handles quite well, strut braces front and rear, arb on the rear but not on the front. I found that with a front arb it would just understear then i took it off and it turns in a lot better. So yeah she handles quite well :)

What you thinking in terms of performance? I reckon an alternative to a C20let is some Jenvey throttle bodies? What gearbox you got in btw?

Stoneyginger
29-04-08, 03:38 PM
well i had thought of a throttle body kit down the line but not as yet, a lot of money for all that with stand alone management and new manifold etc. Obviously the throttle body kits generally come with the cams required and most come with emerald or the such like ecu's but i have other things to sort out at the moment. I have an F20 gearbox at the moment, in my younger days i had wanted the F28 6 speed but it is just TOO heavy for the car to be honest so i will stick to the F20 or F16 if i needed a replacement. You know much about these things?

Cool, Well a little bit. I've helped a mate build his corsa and I helped with a nova. When are you planning to start working on it? I heard that the F16 worked pretty well in the nova I helped with.
