Some of the points sound a little dodgy:

- same brightness all over the ring

- rings are 100% equal bent by machines

- brighter illuminated rings than other providers

I think I'll leave my ring be.

They looked good on BMWs but not on anything else.

Audi's new daytime running lights will quickly go the same way IMO, when they're plastered all over the front of all the corsas that look like they ramraided halfords.

Hmmm, tried these on the Speed triple, they are legal if wired to the sidelight circuit and in white.

Not sure I'd want to mess with the reflectors in the SV lights as it's not the best to start with, and colours are just nasty.

Cheers Mark.

Those are LEDs, so won't be particularly bright.

What you want, is cold cathode tubes (they are made in the same sort of format). CCFL's put out 3 times as much light as the LED rings do.

My impending 'spot' mod will include something similar to these, inside the spot lights not the headlights.

Did you find these after I mentionned Angel Eyes in the other thread? :D

harvy, they're additional to your standard bulbs. But they might impair the light a little.

The ebay auction implies that they're not- though it doesn't say what they actually are.

A little closer look and they appear to be CCFL's. I'm very sceptical about the comparisons drawn with regards to them being 150 times brighter per metre squared when compared to LEDs - that's not a normal measurement of brightness...

The LED version looks pants IMO (although my spots will have LEDs), but if you don't get the colour right, and they are CCFL's, then you're in for a whole world of trouble.

As the advert says:
They are not allowed in the road traffic regulations.

+1  there's a surprise

But wouldn't want to pull my headlights apart to fit them inside. And with headlights on all the time white lights won't be seen IMO & the blue ones which I would go for is just going to give me more grief & expense.

Would work well on newish R1s as they have small round projector headlights. Saw a bloke in Frith St that made them, he quoted a huge price & I think 2 of his 4 were broken, which he said was quite common. (5 series beemers don't wheelie as much )
