Only done about 12000 miles but Im having to adjust the chain even 200miles. Is it time for a new one? Or just keep on using it untill there is nothing left to adjust? There is no curling of the teeth on the sprokets (front or rear)

I think there were a couple of 1000 miles where the chain was unlubed as the scottoiler slipped and the lube was missing the chain. Could this have caused the rapid wear?

If you can pull the chain back from your rear sprocket with your fingers than replace ASAP.

Not sure about the scottoiler thingy. I hate the thing so I lube mine manually. But than my Hairnet get spoiled as it gets washed, oiled, checked, polished etc very often.

If you don't change it now you soon will if you're having to adjust it every 200 miles.

I would change it and fix the scottoiler. I know some peeps don't like them but since fitting them to my bikes I can't remember the last time I had to adjust the chain

The scott oiler is fixed. There was nothing wrong with it, just the drip was missing the chain.

I will get a new set then before the france trip!
