Heya All
Quick question. I know that for an MOT you need a rear reflector, but as my MOT won't be for about 2.5 years I'm not too bothered.
BUT, will a policeman pull me for it or do me if I get pulled for something else?
I tried to find a stick on one in Halford but they didn't have any.

I haven't had a problem yet (touch wood), I plan to stick one onto my numberplate when it's MOT time.

Lily has just said "Errrrr.....NO". lol
I just wandered cause I don't want a policemen to pull me for speeding then go.....>"er whilst we are here, where's your reflector?" lol

I think if he starts to look at the rear of your bike then the updraft from your can will get his interest first! :smt077

Not as loud as yours. Still yet to decide......baffle or no baffle for Sunday. lol
I've been told on bikesafe the other day, "we've got more important things to do"
But if you're stopped for some other reason, that can add to the fine and it's a MOT failure.

I had a little hinged one from halfrauds that I could hinge back down if I was ever asked about it. Never was, not even at MOT

Whats the big deal about having it on or not? Is it that hideous?

Most bobbies don't even know a reflector should be there so I really wouldnt worry.

Nope, not at all.......I just can't find one to stick on. Hence my question, plus I am going for a ride this weekend and just wanted to check. Once I get hold of one I will stick it on.
I got a stick on button reflector from somewhere. Stuck it on the number plate corner. Job done.

Yup, looks lovely......think that due to everyone stating its only really an MOT issue think may just leave it until I happen to see one or my MOT comes up. MOT isn't until September 2011, so think I have a while. lol

Look at the ebay link, less than two quid, four posts up.

Doubt you will get pulled for the reflector alone, whether a copper will mark it against you when pulled for something else depends on the copper to be honest.
Easy solution is buy a small stick on reflector for bicycles, its the size of a ten pence coin and costs the same too.
