Went out bike shopping with a mate today, he's buying not me.. He got offered a great deal on a new SV650 Sport K8 at GW in Slough.

Brand new bike in graphite grey with lowers , cowl (& seat and rail) for 4 grand on the road. Also offered him 650 for his old GPX600 which cost him less than that off ebay..

The sticker price was 4699 with 400 cashback , then they took another 299 off that. Bargain me thinks :D

Not bad, and thats a very good offer for PX. Maybe the trick is to buy an old banger just to trade in. works for cars at some garages.

i dont like gw in slough cant really trust them there customer service is NIL they talok to u like they aint interested but thats just me

I've only ever used them for servicing but found them to be fine.

The SV's going there on Tuesday for a service so I'll soon find out.

Nick, if your mate wants to save himself a grand and a half and get a tidy low-mileage recently-serviced K5 instead, I know where there'll be one for sale in a week or so.

Nick, if your mate wants to save himself a grand and a half and get a tidy low-mileage recently-serviced K5 instead, I know where there'll be one for sale in a week or so.

GW :?: Dunno. I once bought a spanker new Bandit off them. The delivered at no extra cost. Was good enough for me. Never used them for servicing though.

As soon as I find a good one, yeah. There's a likely one on Biketrader for the right price about 20 miles away atm, but as with Nick's mate, I need the readies first.

That is a good deal your mate got there IMO - I paid about the same for my 07from WLS, probably could have haggled more, deffo will on the next one. Not much experience of GW, Slough but before I passed my DAS I only ever sat of an SV and the sales staff couldnt be more helpful, but the weekend after passing I was browsing and sat on a Gixxer6 keening looking around and the sales boys (different to previous) just sat there! - I walked out!
