I have a green card on the 3-4 May so was wondering if any of you fancy a 1 day ride somewhere?
Thought we might deviate from our usual brighton run and try something a bit different? Also thought we could try doing a full day of riding broken up with a few pub stops on route.
I did a quick scour on the interweb and found some rides here: http://www.devittinsurance.com/bikerzone/tools/maps.html
Anyone keen?
I'll be in or on my way back from France. Have fun.
I am on nights that weekend but if it was a Sunday I could possibly go into work late.

Going to footy on the sat so could do up until 2ish.. Supposed to be doing a car-boot sale sunday morning but I think she may have forgotten about it so allday sunday is a real possibility :-)
Defo up for finding some new routes tho..

Hmm.
At the risk of trespassing into Sausageland, I might be on for the Sunday......depending a few things....like the time, and the weather, and er...a few other things.
Not sure about the full day though, but could make a good few hours, if things go to plan.
The route will most likely be the deciding factor, along with the other things.
Continue.....I am just watching for now
I could just very well be up for this. All depends if Jo suddenly gets any work. At the moment Sunday if free. Can't do Saturday as we are going bike gear shopping for Meg.
Where's the frikkin poll dumb nutz.
I've taken the liberty of adding a poll. I voted Sunday as I can't do Saturday. Should it go ahead Sunday, I'll also have a pillion.

I think I could do either, but it would be great if it were to head West East or North, just nor South as its a bit far for me as I have a friend coming to visit at some point.

Agreed.
Has anyone got a destination in mind?:smt108
Mind you, I don’t really care where………..:smt104
Anywhere anyplace anytime……..:-({|=
I’m free but only on Sunday…
Not bothered where. What's that place I hear about with the series of bends? Somewhere North of Reading I believe.

Will start thinking about this tomorrow as I am in Strasbourg and dont have the time to sort anything out. Sunday sounds like a winner to me. Anyone got thoughts on a destination??
The kent ride posted above sounds interesting - or is that too far?
I know you guys said that you didn't want to head south but if you are stuck for a destination you could go to Goodwood Breakfast Club. The theme is : ‘Two wheels or more, excluding four – everything from bikes to buses and trikes to trucks’
Attracting: Any non-four-wheeled vehicle, including motorcycles, scooters, three-wheelers, multi-wheeled commercial vehicles, tanks, etc., no matter how bizarre.

I may possibly have a cunning plan. Details to follow (possibly).

I am now only in for this ride if Phil can find and fit me a new snowshovel since he turned my bike into ghostriders bike! :(
Don't be so soft. If you don't get it fixed in time, just take your plate with you and tell mr officer (if you actually get stopped) it only just happened.

Quite possible. No speed camera worries for me! Although I do rather like to stick within the confines of the law if possible! :plod:

Whats the plan for sunday? I can make it but it'll involve a bit of re-arranging and probably a bit of grief so be good to know the ride is a deffo beforehand :-)
Provisionally, the plan is to ride up to Wendover, meet up with the Soho crew for lunch. From there in a roundabout-way-not-yet-decided-on-route to Wantage. From Wantage take the B4944 to Newbury. To my house to (hopefully) seriously annoy the neighbours whilst we all chomp on bacon sarnies and brews. Finer details not yet sorted. Like routes and timings.

Coool, was that the road you were talking about or the one we did. Either way it will be pretty damn challenging. You remember what I said about that road Si and a rideout.......:p
Does Jo know that she'll have 8 or so burly bikers to feed???

Roundabout enough?

It's the road we didn't get to do.
I think it's going to be considerably more than 8 if we do end up meeting the Soho crew. Jo wont mind because I said so. It's all part of the plan.

Looks good to me.
We have the option of either starting considerably late and just riding directly from the Shire to the meeting point or do a TV bimble first and then meet up.
Preferences :?:

I'm with the late plan.
To be honest, with Jo riding pillion, we will probably try to squeeze as much out of the day as possible (seeing as it's rare Jo has the chance to ride). We may ride down to the Ace in the morning and ride with the Massive to the start point.
Crap. Just buggered up the poll trying to edit it. Sorrrrreeeeeee.
New Poll added in new thread. HERE (http://forums.sv650.org/showthread.php?t=109402)
