No doubt you've heard about it on the news, the Austrian bloke who kept his daughter locked up in his cellar for 24 years and fathered 7 kids, 1 dead, 3 given away, other 3 never seeing daylight

Horrible story, and scary to think these things can go unnoticed for so long, poor woman :(

Similar case to that young lass who got locked up for 8 years, except she was all by herself! WTF goes on in the gits' minds who do this? :smt013

http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/world/europe/7372477.stm

Seeing as she was reported missing at 18, why the heck didn't the house get properly searched at the time?!?!

Feel free to discuss.

It is disgusting... but i feel there is more to this than has been told to the press so far... the fact that the mother didn't know that she was down there... it all seems very very strange to me... time will tell more no doubt as the investigation continues.

We don't know enough to comment and apportion blame

How her mother never knew etc?

Hopefully he will rot in a prison for the rest of his natural. How the poor girl will learn to get her life back I don't know.

Reminds me of 2 girls locally who killed their father. Turned out that he had been abusing them for over 25 years as well.

There was also one farmer when I was a kid who was jailed for incest with his daughter. I was a friend of his sons. The family were always whispered about. It was a shadow that followed them where ever they went

There's probably more to this than we will ever be told, and once the media have told the story they want to tell, we'll probably never know what really happened.
It does seem highly suspect about the mother not knowing. How the hell could you not know? Or at least suspect something was up? But that might say more about the bloke, he could have run the house with an iron fist, so she really may have never known.
Sickening that these things happen.

+1 on that.

It was reported that not all the children were locked in the cellar and that the Father took some of the children upstairs to live with him and his wife.
Did she not become suspicious of newborn children turning up willy nilly??

Something very sinister about the whole case.

As for him...torture the sick f***!!!

Cellar was soundproofed and kids didn't know any different from their life down there, so to them it was normality. Says they had a telly and they thought that life on there was imaginary, so sad.

Give him a taste of his own medicine and lock him in a cellar but not with a damn thing. Oh and a cow.

Unleash the punishments lol.

I've just been reading the link to the BBC and all I can say is that it is sickening and bizarre that this can happen.

The wife never went to the cellar - That's not so strange really my wife never sets foot in the shed neither did she ever venture into the loft before we had it converted...........

So he's going to plead insanity...
Well the magazine interview he did I knew all the time during the whole 24 years, that what I did was not right, that I must be crazy to do something like that
Lets hope that doesn't hurt his case at all :shaking:

A reporter asked a neighbour if he had ever met one of the daughters, Alice?

Who the hell is Alice? He asked. "You mean for 24 years I've been living next door to Alice." :-dd

Taxi for Neil...
