Ahem! Poll now added. Takes time girl
Snetterton is a *very* fast circuit - huge long straights. It's simple enough, but I'm not sure it's very SV-friendly.

I just read from the list selecting the ones cheapest and closest.

Voted. To me, Rockingham looks by far the closest, cheapest and also fairly twisty.

I can't do any of these. Simply put, I can't afford it. I would have voted Brands or Snetterton though.

Crap - am out of the country on business on all but two of those dates!
Well, going by the voting, and the fact Jon can only attend one of the two most popular votes, can I suggest everyone opts for Rockingham on the 16th June :?:
I'd like to get all of us in and the longer we leave it, the less chance we are going to get everyone in.
Your thoughts :?:
Rather less convenient for me than the 4th, but probably do-able.
Now, are we being sensible and taking a van or two up, or are we going to assume that everyone'll finish the day with a roadworthy bike?

Grrr you voted for the 4th.
Oh and I don't have a van but willing to input in anyway I can.

16th june sounds good to me. I vote we decide on that and book asap.
Re- the van. Is it worth chipping in together and hiring one for 50 quid? Could take a couple of bikes in it..

Hi all, I'll be up for any of the Brands ones. Hope you dont mind me tagging along? Cant really reccomend Snetterton. Bit boring and I never found it very flowing. Let me know which one you go for in the end?
I've now booked for 16th June at Rockingham. ALL TVSF. Get booking. It won't be the same with out you.
I booked here (http://www.trackdays.co.uk/calendar/find.aspx?d=2008-6-16&v=Rockingham)

I'm booked in... Yippeeeeeeee!!
Can't wait :-)

We really do need to think about this now. Anyone got any suggestions :?: Jo is going to be coming also. She'll be willing to drive the van so long as there are two passenger seats for the kids to sit on. Hire one and we all chip in :?:

I'm willing to chip in for a van.. Shouldn't cost much if we all do it.
A quick look and I found this (http://www.bvhreading.co.uk/range.asp?VTID=44). 55 quid a day but unsure what hours that covers. Might have to book more than one day. But even then, If as many people go as voted, then that's going to be hardly anything spread between all of us.
If your going to hire a van, make sure that it's not totally boarded out in the back, and has a few tie down points.... the ones I've hired from Grays usually have 4 or so showing.

Quick question - why are we not riding the bikes to the track day? Or is this a contingency in case we bin it?

I think the idea is to ride there and back but the van will be there if anyone bins it.. Hopefully we won't need it..

I am going to have to find some leathers first. If I can get some, then I am in for this. The van is also a good idea just in case, but I will really try to stop myself from binning it. I am too damn competetive though!

Does it have to be leather? Wont my textiles do?
I have leathers but they don't zip together.
Has to be leather, and they have to zip together. I believe that that some places can put a zip in your leathers, which would be good enough.
I have a spare set of leathers if any one wants to borrow them.

Oooh, how big are they? I am trying on Ape's spare set which he assures me is bigger than I think, but in case they don't fit, I might need to source some more. I am about 6"1 and have a kind of 34-36" waist is all I know.

Well I'm 6" and 34" waist. The leathers are broken in so slightly baggy, PM if you want to come try them on if the Ape leathers don't fit (Very long the arms Apes are ;) )

Cheers man, I tried on Si's, and although they are a bit tight and I had to suck my balls into my stomach, they are mostly fine and will do nicely. Now just book the time off work and I can book! I am secretly very nervous though.
