Hi there!

Another converted lurker!

Just found out that my k3 has crescent longer dogbones (160mm). That explains it running "a bit" wide on some corners compared to my mate's k3. Would like to know what is de size of standard dogbones for the k3 and onwards. Anyone?

I did use the search function but couldn't find the size of the damn things!
Thanks in advance!

Good board by the way!:smt023

nah, I think we had this debate last time. It was about 145 or 140 mm between hole centres.

Thank's for the replies guys!

Did a bit of more searching and aparently standard dogbones for k3 and later models are 145mm long. Obviously mine are way longer...
Also part of the reason of the (mis)behavior of the SV comes from exagerated rebound damping on the rear which isn't adjustable.

So gsxr thou k5 shock should be arriving any time now from ebay!;)

For those who want to know, this is what I found out on my quest for a better rear suspension:
-K3 shock is 330mm in length
-K3 dogbones are 145mm
-GSXR1000 shock length is 329.5mm for 01-02 and 332.5mm for 03-06
-GSXR600 shock length is 375mm for 97-00, 325.5mm for 01-03 and 332.5mm for 04
-GSXR750 shock length is 345mm for 96-99, 325mm for 00-03 and 332.5mm for 04
-GSXR1300 shock length is 330mm for 99-03

Hope this will save some time and work for the next one who needs this info.
Anyway most info is already in this board...just not in the same place!
