"can't use a litre on the road" "600CC is all I need" "blah blah blah blah"

Dan, about as static and convicted as a piece of jelly on a pogo stick during an earthquake.

Give us a go ;)

Pretty much. :)

It's the 2006/7 bike. In my opinion one of the nicest looking versions and the new 07 Zx6R was based on the design. Not as brutish as the 04 version but that's a good thing in my book. Besides, it's STILL a litre sportsbike so it won't be slow.

My reasoning for the purchase is this;

I have a Hornet for my commute, great sensible bike that is a compromise between all the things I want. However, I also wanted a SS bike for occasional track work and hoons. I did want a 636 but they are near 5k for a low mileage 2nd hand one, expensive really! The Zx10 is 5'500 with 2k miles. 600's are quite high end bikes in that they make most of their power higher in the rev range, I found that on the ZX6 that I was going very fast all the time as they are fun when you're giving them the beans. With a litre bike it's fun through the whole range of revs and they can be ridden much easier slowly, although the potential is there to go much quicker.

That and they wheelie on power alone and I can't do clutch wheelies. :smt040

This bike should keep me happy for many years to come. Well, a year at least..............:rolleyes:

Fixed for you ;)

Congratulations on the new bike. If we can't all have a go on it, can we at least be there when you tell the misses ;)

Shouldn't bother begging rides; he'll have swapped it for an off-roader then a lawnmower then a goldwing by the end of the bank-holiday.
