Right,, things have changed and im not fixing my SV
it is classed as a road write off.
so im considering breaking it.. as in every useable part is for sale..
instead of listing everything, just post what you may want and i will tell you a condition and price.

Extras include

K&N air filter
R&G's tail tidy + protectors (one side obviously ground down) but the mounts are still intact
fairing lowers.. one side needs painting again..
Powerbronze jet black screen
mini indys
engine has 15K miles on it but is confirmed still sweet as a nut by the assesors and undamaged

or if anyone is interested in buying the salvage.. make me an offer
i can supply pics on request.

Being serious here, why not make into a track bike? You were thinking of getting into minitwins, so why not you know the bike aqnd can take yor time doing whatever you want to it. Just a thought.

Well also how much for the screen, K&N and mini indies? I'm tempted:cheers:

Not sure what happened but I'm guessing the front end is a mess?
I'd be interested to know what state the front nose fairing is in though?
A couple of pics on the thread might be useful?

I wasn't aware assesors actually stripped an engine down on insurance claims.

Surely you are only guessing it's ok, or externally it looks ok. Could have been lying on it's side revving it's nuts off for a few seconds with no oil feed to one side of the crank.

I am aware there is a tilt cut-off which should cut out the engine pretty quick, but nevertheless.

Actually pete they assessed the lot.. including striping the engine because it was origenaly going to be a repair.. then they decided it wasnt cost effective, maybe they dont do it normaly but i know the pidcocks owner personaly so...

I'm interested in the rear brake lever and right mirror if you do break.

If its straight and not bent or damaged at all, then I'd be interested in the Gear lever assembly. Also the toolkit.
