View Full Version : All geared up...
Meg had her first pillion ride today. She went from J&S in Watford to back home. Around 60 odd miles. The best bit for her? The 'bendy' bits. OK so her biker vocab needs improving, but at least she enjoyed the right bits the most.
Her she is all geared up.

Sorry I don't know. I just looked for her size. I believe they started at size 11 went up to maybe a 2 or 3. Couldn't say for sure though.

I'd prefer to keep the danglies where they were designed to be and not pinned to the garage door as a reminder.
you sound well chuffed.
Your right I am.
If you don't mond me asking, how much was the gear?
From memory
Helmet £70. Carberg especially for kids.
Jacket £50.
Trousers £50
Gloves £30. (They had kids gloves there but they were carp.)
Boots £50.
So in total £250. The jacket and trousers are Kids Zone by Lewis.

That is sooooo cute. My daughter really wants to come out with me - but she is far too young yet.
How old is your daughter?

Ah, i remember my first ride on the back of my dads old GSXR750 WN (thats a steel cradle-framed 1992 lard-**** gixxer).
I carped myself, i shut my eyes, I asked dad to stop for a moment so I could have a rest from hanging on so tight
But boy, did that first pillion ride set me up for life!!!
Have fun :D

She's 7 and been literally waiting for two years for her feet to reach the pegs so she could go pillion. She tried it out every couple of months to see if she was big enough. We actually found out she could now fit by sitting on Pete & Lissa's bike (rudolph) at Fox's.

Aww, a mini girlie biker! Tis really good they do all the proper gear in the little sizes! And she looks so chuffed and proud, lucky thing to have a biker for a dad to get her into it so young :D
Bet she's the coolest girl at school when she tells her friends
