Rob, due to the damper rods being modded are these "outside" of minitwin regs??? And if not do the preload adjusters off the pointy models fit??

Cheers mate. Chris #36

Modding the damper rods is internal so legal for minitwins, they've just had the hole sizes changed to suit the springs.

The fork tubes have different threads between injected and carby, but they're not needed anyway once the preload is correct it shouldn't need adjusting.

The 2002 Curvy had preload adjusters, so you could probably get them and put them on the forks.

Rob, I know you know your stuff, so I'll ask the question directly. Have you tested the 'runout' in the forks? .. if so what is it?

Also waht are the seals like and do the stanchions have any pitting/scoring etc?

There is the very slightest bit of runout on one leg, but tbh its very marginal, they go in the yokes fine and when spun up by hand you cant see it, its only when i put one leg in the lathe with a centre on the bottom it shows up (hence ive not mentioned it as you'd never know if it wasn't pointed out).
there's a bit of pitting inbetween the yokes and one leg has 2 or three just below the bottom yoke, ie would never go through seal.
The seals look like they've been there a while , but not leaking.
