I thought it was about time I introduced myself to you all.

I've had some dealings with a few people regarding parts from my old bike.

My name is Adrian, I live in Aylesbury and work in Oxford. I've been riding bikes for 18 years and have never learnt to drive a box can't beat the buzz from bikes.

I plan to come along to the next meet, following WartHog and Philbut down but making sure I have plenty of stopping distance having seen the results of last weeks ride down!!

Now I need to decide whether I should change my user name or not? My options are to leave it as it is (it's only a handle), change to Rh1no (Rhino is already taken but that's nickname) or something else suggested by you guys

Hi & welcome :)

Fancy doing a track day? hehe..

And judging by my name, I can't give any advice on changing names ;)

Welcome to the factory...do you like sausage?

I vote to change your name. Got nothing against aadeyc73 (http://forums.sv650.org/member.php?u=8141) but it is a bit of a mouthful + I will never remember it + Rh1no is just plain better.

True, rhino is easy, but just looking at the name again.. it's not too hard to remember really.... Ady-C

(although does that mean the 73 is a dead give away to the year Adrian was born or just the magical number to some lock combination.. hehe)

Hi Ady. Keep it. I don't think Ady is simple enough. Look forward to seeing next Tuesday. As fibble said, fancy a track day. The TVSF is having one on the 16th June.

Bit too much information there for your first day but anyway!

Welcome Adey! Told you they were a nice bunch :). Adrian has kindly given me the speedo drive and cable from his old curvey which I will be attempting to fit tonight with Phil. For free too! Hopefully he can join us for the next Shire Horse meet.

We'll just let Phill ride in front!

By the way, keep the name, I feel extra special knowing it actually means Adey (or Ady). Just another one of the TVSF special little secrets! (just like I in no way look (or smell) like a warthog :D)

Oh crap you've figured out the complex code I'd better forge a new birth certificate and change the code to my safe, just in case someone tracks it down and manages to help the moths escape.:smt063

Hey Adrian, I just fitted the curvey speedo drive you gave me. It actually doesn't fit, but with a bit of bodging and filing, I got it to work. So thanks a lot buddy!

There's nothing wrong with Bedgrove better than where I am, 10 mins walk from the prison.

It'll be good to meet you all on tuesday and you'll be able to have a laugh at my quality riding, if you can see that far back;)

From experience, people who understate their own abilities regarding riding of motorcycles tend to lie. They are normally quite good.

I myself am a riding genius. Hell even only this morning I managed to scrape my crash bung.

Ape lies to. He probably scrapped it whilst riding on one wheel round the twisties and eating a continental breakfast all at the same time!

"And what's more, I usually only ride a dinky little 250!"

250's can't possibly keep up with sv650s!!

Well the poll's now closed and with a votes tied I guess i'll keep the name as it is. Partly because I don't think I can change it anyway.

I was thinking about knocking the first 'a' off to make things easier so it a mod was able to do that for me it would be great.

You'll have to send a PM to either fizzwheel, admin or TSM to be able to get that done. Us mere mortal moderators don't possess such powers.

I'm too weak and frail to retort.
