Tara

mid morning would suit Falc better as we have things to do on Saturday afternoon

Falc's achieving probably trumps my post exam beers :drink:

Mid morning is good for me, will just moderate my intake!

The pressure! easiest route off the top of my head is the old seaside route down to wittering and back up. Other variations include going to portsdown hill and box hill...

DanAbnormal
08-05-08, 12:22 PM
Well I do know I route to Hayling Island. 272 through petersfield, some nice twisties to start with but then I only know the A3 way for the last third of the journey. Failing that we could always goto wittering? That was my 1st rideout with the GM. :D

I am tempted by this and would prefer a fairly easy route... i will be very slow though as haven't ridden in a while... plus it all depends on what time i finish the photoshoot... shoot starts at 10am...

Might just do a smaller ride and let you lads get on with your ride... not sure if i'm up to riding in a bigish group yet...

Seeing as it's too short notice to do a new route i'd say go for the seaside run down to the witterings

Feel free to step in Dan ;)

I reckon do the seaside run as before, meet at the little chef on the A3 heading out of Guildford. The only thing is the time, i'm up for an early start if others are as the traffic will only get worse as people migrate to the beach in the cars, 9am start? too early or late, other times?

Stu
09-05-08, 11:39 AM
Shirley if cars are going to the beach from Guildford they would also start at 9/(10 by the time we leave)

As said can't make it before 12 myself - but I'm only one vote.

Can't do passport online. Need prority express anyway as I go on holiday in less than a month! Oops.

Can't do roadtax online as V5 is not changed to my name and address yet.

I also need to get a haircut. IF I get all of this done before 12 I will see you at the little chef.

EDIT: Do you have to go all the way to the next junction on the A3 and turn back around to get to the Little Chef? It doesn't look like you can come across from the other side? Last time I tried I nearly got taken out by a lorry going down Beechcroft Drive.

Yer bike is running good, it did 2000 odd miles a little while ago without a glitch.

Was a good to meet up and weather was fantastic, good ride back also just a shame about all the cars in the road and crazy cyclists.

Was everything alright Pencil Shavings, you veered off into a car park Stu said?

Cheers for the route down guys. Megs enjoyed herself and so did I. We ended up going back from the A3 onto the A272 to Winchester and then on to Newbury. Has anyone ever done that part of the A272? What a bloody beautiful road.

Yup, its nice that, I know a route that takes in some good roads first and then hooks on to the A272 at the M3 end and then follow it down diverting to Ports down hill and winding back to Boxhill, thats not a bad one. Tis a great road though your right.
