Got me a 'busa

Trading in my K2 Gixer tomorrow. Visited George Whites last weekend saw a triple of used busa's and said I'll 'ave one of them, so I did. That's the only real explanation I have.

I loved the gixer but if I had to fault it from my own needs it would be that its a liitle too focussed. The Trumpet Daytona was less so, being a bit heavier so I'm hoping the busa will offer a similar feel

Shame, make sure you give it a thorough check when they hand over the keys of a secondhand bike!

It will be the third bike I've bought from GW's in two years and to be fair a good experience so far, no complaints. They gave me a good price on the gixer thou too, but I guess we all have our experiences!

Don't generally do the AR or such events due to commitments etc but certainly looking forward to getting to more (or at least some) rideouts this year...

I dont even think the new ones can do much over a genuine 200MPH as Bike or ride mag tried on a two mile test strip with different cogs and taking the mirrors off etc.

Nice bike buy the way, big comfy and fast, lucky Bar stuard, so when is the Mrs getting a brand new one just to beat you?

Actually Mrs Skint aka Kamakazy got her gixer first and it was newer so I had to do something, but now I am really really Skint. She did sit on the busa and liked it but she has just bought new sofa's so I should be safe,... for now...;)

Hope to be out this weekend, with Kam so if we happen to meet up - no trouble making Mr Stretchie - I can't afford anything else!!!! The weather looks good for biking :D

It's a nice bike Mr (very) Skint. It didn't feel that much heavier than the gixer, very well balanced. Pretty low seat as well, I could get both feet flat on the ground easier than my gixer k6.

Looks like I'll have a spot o bother keeping up with you even more now ;)

the derestricted ones will only do about 190. even the new one struggles to hit a genuine 200mph as standard. good fun though, i hope you are on good terms with your tyre supplier.........(in 7500 miles I,ve used 5 rears, 3 fronts, 2 sets of brake pads and a set of chain and sprockets)

Some pics - First ride today, went over to Abergavenny with Beenz. It is a really smooth ride, handles suprisingly well even at slow speed in carparks etc but still not enough grunt to catch Beenz! I think I need a turbo fitted - either that or the bike needs a decent rider. Still got rid of the chicken strips!! :p

Twas a gentle pootle into the welsh countryside..... and some seriously bad roads from Chepstow to Usk, wet and messy on the real twisties with plenty od tree debris and gravel

Mr Skint though was much much quicker on the way back and on those two 270 degree left handers off the A40 had me well beaten on his first day on the bike  I take me hat off to you bud. Nice one!

how do i post pics of my busa?

You will probably find other posts on this issue. I upload my photo's from PC to 'Photobucket' then transfer from their using the 'Insert Image' icon (on 'reply to thread' toolbar). In Photobucket click on the 'Direct Image' (I think) details of the photo and it will come up with a pop up message 'Copied'. Then paste that into the box in the 'Insert Image' tool. I'm not that clear because I don't do it very often I have to trial and error a few times and when it does work I can never remember exactly what I did.

There are some ex-perts on this site who could help better I'm sure - do a search, I'm sure something will come up... :silent:
