I am getting my new kitchen delivered at the end of june and I can fit it all but I need someone who is good at cutting worktops.

Can anyone out there help or does anyone know of someone who can help

I'm just outside Bracknell in Berkshire

Cheers

Yes yes yes.

I had a right pain (for about 2 months?) trying to find a qualified person who could (with confidence) cut our new very expensive surfaces. Correctly.

Much sucking through teeth was done.

The material was Maia - its a composite of loads of other stuff that if cocked up looks really bad. If done right, you can't see the joins. (you don't need metal joining strips for this, though some fitters were going to try to use them anyway....)

I'll get the number for the bloke tonight and PM you it? - cant remember where he came from though.

He was nothing short of fantastic, and pricewise, the most reasonable tradesman I've met.

Thanks Ooger. We looked at the Maia stuff (in Homebase I think) and it was stupidly expensive if i remember right. But still cheaper than Granite/quartz/real wood

it can be pricy, yep.

We bought one length from here, they make the Corian'/Maia stuff so its not marked up as much as Homebase's:

and picked up another 6m or so off ebay out of pot luck.

This is of course, too late to be of any use to you ;)
